Today was a long-long day! Despite the coughing, I woke up bright and early and headed to Fort Worth to meet model, Dennis B. Again, another wonderful guy to work with who has huge potential as seen in these test shoot. In this shoot I sort of wanted to have an A&F feel to it — the jocky, yet innocent look with strong sexual vibe that comes screaming through the photos. I tried my best to capture it and I hope you’ll think the same Leave some comment love.

Okay, so this shoot was really a spare the moment thing. I met up with a guy that is new to the industry name Tucker from Arlington, Texas — a totally cool guy to work with that needs little direction. Anyhow, one of my friends and mentor of photography, Kevin Webb, met up with me yesterday to give me his unused supply: a 6 x 4 feet reflector and stand. It’s taller than me! So I decided to put it to good use in this test shoot.

Notice the lighting may be slightly harsh because we made the horrible decision to shoot around noon. The reflector served as a diffuser and saved the day. I was using the sun as my fill and a 580exII as the mainlight with a CTO gel. Let me know what you think please

This past weekend I had the pleasure of working with an aspiring model that goes by the name Chase. We spent a good 4 hours shooting at Positive Space (thanks to Charles), and then headed over to what I assume was a section of the Katy Trail park. Got some great images - the only thing that pissed me off was I didn’t carry the 24-70 with me. What do you guys think?

Practice Shots with Taylor and Emily

Today was an eventful day. I woke up at 1:30pm and rushed into the showers and then headed over to meet my mentor Kevin Webb and his friends to do some practice shots. Today I learned how to use a light meter and was even lucky enough to experiment with the gigantic California Sunbouncers! They are so amazing, but I can’t afford them at the moment! Hope you like the photos.
